The Swedish Week (Svenska veckan) always takes place in November in connection with the celebration of the Finland Swedish Heritage Day on 6 November. During this week we offer a larger number of cultural events in Swedish than usual.
In Kauniainen, we have a closed event for daycare groups this year, where they will see the performance “Sånger för små öron” by Teater Nära. The city’s other events are open to the public with free admission, thanks to our collaboration with Swedish Week and Folktinget.

Stand up in Swedish 8.11, the Youth Hall Granin klubi

Welcome to an evening of Stand-Up in Swedish! Granin Klubi is celebrating Swedish Week with stand-up comedy for young people, their parents, and anyone else who wants a good laugh. The humor has a high relatability factor with jokes about what it’s like to be a Swedish-speaking-Finn in Finland, the dating scene in the Swedish speaking cities, and other anecdotes from the comedians’ everyday lives.

The event will be hosted by comedian Märta Westerlund. Joining her on stage are Jeremia Högnabba and Top Floor Comedy’s new star Felix Stråhlmann.
