Using the library

Kauniainen library is part of the Helmet library. As our patron, you have access to collections and services in all the Helmet library locations. Read more: Helmet.fi

You get a library card and a pin code by showing the staff your ID. To speed up the process you can fill in our online form in advance. Patrons under the age of 15 need the written consent of a parent or legal guardian to receive a library card.

Renew and place holds online

You can search for items and place holds online at Helmet.fi, or in the Taskukirjasto app. You can also renew loans without visiting the library in person. To reserve or renew items you need your library card number and pin code.

The library card number and pin code will also give you access to our online resources in the eLibrary.
